CUTLERVILLE DAYS PARADE & FIREWORKS SHOW

BRIAN DIEMER FAMILY OF RACES SAVES 45 YEARS OF TRADITION – CUTLERVILLE DAYS PARADE & FIREWORKS SHOW

After an early “false start” we are excited to announce that the Cutlerville Days Parade and the evening Fireworks Display are back in the running. Following on the heels of the popular Diemer Run 5k, presented by Pursuing a Dream, and Mobility 5k sponsored by Care-Linc, parade entries will march down 68th street carrying out the tradition that members of the community have been enjoying for over 45 years.
When the Brian Diemer Family of Races heard that the Cutlerville Days was going to be canceled this year, they knew they had to step up their game. To keep Cutlerville running, the Diemer Team rallied together to cover the post-race parade and highlighted fireworks show. The Fireworks are presented by Meijer, along with other local companies stepping up to help cover the costs for the Cutlerville Days components…DeHaan Tile & Floor covering, Kent Companies, Stroo Funeral Home and Vriesman & Korhorn.
The Brian Diemer Family of Races works diligently each year to put on the best running experience in Grand Rapids. The event features a 5k run, 5k walk, 5k Wheelchair/Handcycle Division, 1000 meter kids steeple chase, a junior jog, all of these components in the Diemer Family of Races energized by a brand new sponsor, Superior Foods. With over $9,000 in prize money, 6 live bands on the course, a soft race shirt and donuts at the finish line, this flat, fast course is a favorite to young and old. The race welcomes over 1,500 participants and every year thousands of dollars raised from the 5k are donated to local charity partners…The Guiding Light Mission, Pine Rest Foundation Patient Assistance Fund and Safe Haven Ministries. Proceeds from Junior Jog and Mile Run are donated to Kids Hope, USA with donations being used to support local programs.
The Brian Diemer Family of Races 28th Anniversary Family of Races events will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2017. The race will begin at 9:00am at Legacy Christian Middle School on 68th Street NW, Cutlerville, MI. The Cutlerville Days Parade will start at 10:00am with the fireworks show at dusk.
